Out of six international branding consultancies pitching for the Mercedes-Benz brand refresh, Henrion, Ludlow and Schmidt came a very close second. Our presentation team went over, initially, to Hamburg and finally Stuttgart to present our 'leadership' concept.

I originated an unprecedented design system, inspired by Mercedes-Benz vehicles and new media technology. This made up the design portion of the overall HLS proposal to reflect the new Mercedes-Benz positioning.

My contract at Henrion, Ludlow and Schmidt has been extended to the 20th to provide additional cover in the studio.

On Monday I start a three month contract at Henrion, Ludlow and Schmidt. I'll be developing and guidelining the image world for a major investment bank in the city.

Founded in the 1950's by FHK Henrion, the company has pioneered brand identity work for various international companies. Dr Klaus Schmidt has authored and co-authored a number of books in which he propounds his ideas on holistic branding.
